Two VARTA products won the prestigious Plus X Award on the same night

2010-05-31
VARTA’s V- Man Power Pack and Solar Charger received the Plus X Award for outstanding usability. These awards reward manufacturers for improving the quality of their products.

Yet again, VARTA has proven its talent for innovation and progress, with two VARTA products being honored by the Plus X Award this year. The Plus X Award is the most prestigious honor for technology, lifestyle and sporting products, and recognizes accolade products in a range of categories such as Design, Innovation and High Quality. Both the V-Man Power Pack and the Solar Charger won over the independent jury in the Usability category. This makes it the third year in succession that VARTA products have been winners.
“We’re delighted with this new honor for our products. It shows us that VARTA’s products are meeting our customers’ mobile needs and that our efforts to maximize usability are being recognized,” said Martin Schraer, International Marketing Director Primary Batteries.

Professional and environmentally-friendly: the VARTA V-Man and Solar Charger

These two mobile power sources, with their comprehensive adapter kit, can charge up just about any mobile device – whether your mobile battery suddenly dies in a café or your MP3 player plays nothing but silence. Stylishly white and with a practical mobile phone-style format, the V-Man breathes new life into any mobile device. And it is practical. Once it has been charged, the V-Man can charge your mobile phone up to twice or your portable player up to ten times.
In contrast, VARTA’s Solar Charger uses the energy of the sun, so it is ideal for using outdoors. It uses a solar panel to charge its two AA R2U batteries which then, in turn, charge up mobile devices such as phones and digital cameras. No matter where the nearest wall socket is, the Solar Charger means users always have their power source with them. And if the sun decides not to come out, the batteries can also be charged using a USB port.
